This course aims to provide teachers with the tools and skills needed to integrate theater and drama into their classrooms as a means of promoting emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and creativity among their students.

By participating in this course, teachers will learn how to create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes mutual trust and freedom of self-expression. The course will also provide teachers with an understanding of the role of theatre in development, and how it can promote empathy, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Course options:
20/40 hours: (1 or 2 weeks) Classes from Monday to Friday

  • OBJECTIVES

    • Learn practical storytelling techniques to promote creativity and self-expression in students.

    • Develop skills to manage and reduce inequalities, promote inclusion and tolerance, and encourage cooperation and participation in the classroom.

    • Gain a deeper understanding of the role of theater in the development of students and its benefits in promoting emotional intelligence and critical thinking.

    • Acquire tools to resolve conflicts and promote mutual trust, self-awareness, and communication within a group.

    By the end of this course, teachers will gain a deeper understanding of how theatre can benefit their students, and how to integrate drama into their teaching practices in a practical and creative way. Teachers will leave the course with a set of skills and techniques that will enable them to create safe and inclusive learning environments that promote mutual trust and self-expression.

  • PROGRAM
    20/40 hours: (1 or 2 weeks) Classes from Monday to Friday morning and some afternoons.

  • Learning material will be provided first day of class according to the participants levels.

    Activities to be carried out :
    Morning: Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm -  Lecturers and Seminars
    Afternoon activities: Guided visit and Historical Route in Gothic and Medieval area in Barcelona

  • COURSE FEES 
    20h (1 week): €350 per person.
    40h (2 weeks): €700 per person.  

  • Including all material + 2 Extracurricular activities (free and optional).

  • If the course dates have to be postponed/changed due to an emergency situation, the fees paid will be valid for any other course offered by SpainBcn-Programs during the following 12 months.

  • FINANCIAL SOURCE
    You can use any of the financial sources offered by your University, Erasmus+ Programs (or private, depending on your possibilities).
